The the Municipal scientific research institute “Scientific research institute of socio-economic development of the city”  received an award from the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy for our work in the field of sociological research that forms the basis of urban policies, as well as for the systematic implementation of a gender approach in the processes of reconstruction and renewal of Kyiv.

This recognition is not only about the result, but also about the values ​​that guide us every day. We are convinced that a modern city should develop based on data, the real needs of residents and the principles of equality.

It is especially important that a gender approach is becoming an integral part of urban planning today. From the safety of public space to the accessibility of services, each decision must take into account the different experiences and needs of women and men, people of different ages and social groups.

In the conditions of the reconstruction of Kyiv after the challenges of the war, this becomes even more important. We strive for the city to be rebuilt not only quickly, but also fairly, inclusively and sustainably. I would like to thank our team for their professionalism and dedication, and our partners for their trust and support. There is still a lot of work ahead, and this award is an additional motivation to move forward.
