Together with the Department of Public Communications of the Kyiv City State Administration, we launched a series of open lectures for schoolchildren in the capital “10 best urban solutions in Europe that can change Kyiv”.
This is more than an educational initiative — it is an invitation to a dialogue about the future of our city, where the younger generation becomes a full-fledged participant in change.
We held the first lecture together with the East Ukrainian National University named after Volodymyr Dahl on the topic: “How international student projects can change cities”. We talked about real cases where student ideas became catalysts for urban transformations: from rethinking public spaces to introducing innovations in mobility, ecology and digital services.
It was especially valuable to see the interest of schoolchildren — their questions, ideas and desire to join the changes. It is such meetings that form a new generation of responsible citizens who are not afraid to think on a large scale and act.
The series of lectures is held on the occasion of Europe Day and is held on the basis of VCENTRI HUB as an open space for dialogue, ideas and interaction.
Ahead are 8 more lectures from leading metropolitan HEIs who will share their experience, cases and vision of the development of a modern city.
At the same time, the Municipal scientific research institute “Scientific research institute of socio-economic development of the city” acted as a communication platform for this initiative within the framework of the Kyiv Scientific and Innovative Cluster, uniting educators, experts and youth around a common goal – creating the city of the future.
We are open to cooperation and new ideas, because the Kyiv of the future is being created today – together with the youth. Thank you to all partners and participants for this powerful start!
