Identifyinf the development of civil society in Kyiv during the war and post-war periods, including the citizens’ participation in the state and regional policy formation and implementation
The aim of the activity is to assess the level of social and civic activity of Kyiv residents; to study the level of citizens’ involvement in the state and regional policy formulation and implementation processes, as well as the factors that influence the increase/decrease of such a level; to identify the most relevant and priority sectors of social and economic development of the city unnder the conditions of war and post-war periods; to find out the peculiarities of perception (level of support) of the urban development vector by Kyiv residents; etc.

Monitoring of Kyiv residents' perceptions of the state policy in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, assessment of the effectiveness of explanatory and communication activity on European and Euro-Atlantic integration based on sociological surveys
Since 2020, a study has been conducted to monitor changes in Kyiv residents’ perceptions of the Euro-Atlantic Alliance foundations and its principles, perceptions of the prospects for Ukraine’s participation in NATO within current geopolitical environment, and trends in the factors that determine the perception of the state policy on the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration, taking into account new internal and external challenges.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, it has become viral to determine the change in public attitude towards the EU and NATO and real effective support of our country provided by the international organizations.
Assesment of the effectiveness of the explanatory and communication activity on European and Euro-Atlantic integration among the residents of the capital
2019. The result of the abovementioned activity is the analytical report that includes: operationalized indicators of quantitative tools for analyzing the effectiveness of explanatory and communication activity on European and Euro-Atlantic integration among the residents of the capital; analysis of the survey results in accordance with the system of indicators based on the strategic and operational research objectives; recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the explanatory campaign on the benefits of the European and Euro-Atlantic vector of Ukraine’s development among the residents of the capital
2020.The result of the abovementioned activity is the analytical report that includes results of a survey conducted among Kyiv residents in 2020, which focuses on the assessment of the effectiveness, quality, and content of the information campaign on Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as the level of their trust to various sources of information. Socio-demographic characteristics of different Kyiv residents groups concerning their self-assessment of knowledge about the the EU and NATO activities and structure are presented. The dynamics of Kyiv residents’ attitudes towards the EU and NATO in recent years as well as forecasts of Ukraine’s accession to these organizations is characterized; the most important levers for shaping Kyiv residents’ perceptions of these international organizations and the level of trust to various information sources are identified; criteria for the level of trust to media information are highlighted; dynamics of Kyiv residents’ attitudes towards Ukraine’s foreign policy European course – movement towards the EU and NATO in 2006-2020 is analyzed.
Determining the level of awareness of Kyiv residents of participatory budgeting as a local democracy tool
Analyzing the specifics of Kyiv residents’ awareness of the participatory budgeting tool (based on the results of the information and communication campaign) and the degree of different socio-demographic groups involvement in the participatory budgeting initiative, as well as outlining peculiarities of understanding and assessment of the main stages of Kyiv participatory budget implementation.
In the framework of the research:
– there was a desk study conducted to construct sociological indicators in order to determine the awareness level of Kyiv residents concerning participatory budgeting;
– tools for collecting primary sociological information were developed;
– secondary mathematical processing of the survey results was carried out; analytical and summarizing materials based on the results of the sociological research were prepared.
