At the request of the Department of Economics and Investments during the last 5 years , the Municipal Research Institution “City Development Institute” has completed more than 45 research and development projects (R&DP) in various fields aimed at scientific and technical support of managerial decisions of the city authorities and implementation of the Kyiv City Development Strategy.

Development of the draft Program on Economic and Social Development of Kyiv for 2024-2026 with its strategic environmental assessment
The main goal of the Program is to ensure the reliable functioning of the city’s engineering, transport, energy, communal infrastructure and social sphere under martial law; to create preconditions for accelerated post-war economic and innovative development of the capital by creating favorable conditions for business development and attracting investment, improving the city’s development managing mechanisms, which will become the basis for improving the well-being, quality of life and safety of the Kyiv citizens.
Development of a science-based system of prioritization of objects for financing capital investments at the expense of the city budget
The purpose of the development is to ensure an objective selection of construction, reconstruction and overhaul facilities for the efficient use and optimization of the local budget expenditures for capital investments.The implementation of the prioritizing objects algorithm for financing capital expenditures on construction, reconstruction and overhaul facilities will make it possible:
– to promptly form object’s pools for financing capital expenditures at construction, reconstruction and overhaul facilities;
– to determine the amount of capital expenditures for construction, reconstruction and overhaul facilities within the Program of Kyiv Social and Economic Development on the basis of efficiency and publicity;
– to ensure the sustainability of the system for calculating the amount of capital expenditures for construction, reconstruction and overhaul.

Development and maintenance of the information system for monitoring the Kyiv City development programs.
Within the framework of such programs, modes of the city development programs were modified, changes and additions were made to the functions of the city development programs information systems, the system’s information fund was supplemented, and information, system and technological support was provided.
ICT “Building Complex” and ICT “Building Complex Exchange”
Modification, addition of functionality and support of information and computer technology of formation of programs of economic and social development of Kyiv in the part of capital investments and capital capital repairs.
Within the framework of the abovementioned program, program modules, outgoing forms, procedures and algorithms were changed; support, updating and accessibility of the ICT “Building Complex” and ICT “Building Complex Exchange” were ensured, and information, system and technological support was provided.
