On the order of the Department of Economics and Investments, over the past 5 years, the Municipal Research Institution «City Development Institute» has completed more than 45 scientific and research as well as design and research works (SRDRW) in various areas. These works are aimed at providing scientific and technical support for the decision-making of the city authorities and the implementation of the Development Strategy of the city of Kyiv.

Development of the project for the Economic and Social Development Program of the city of Kyiv for the years 2024-2026 with the implementation of its strategic environmental assessment
The main goal of the program is to ensure the reliable functioning of the engineering-transport, energy, communal infrastructure, and social sphere of the city in conditions of a state of war. It aims to create prerequisites for acceleration of post-war economic and innovative development of the capital, particularly by creating favorable conditions for business operations and attracting investments. The program also focuses on improving mechanisms for city development management, which will serve as the foundation for enhancing the well-being, quality, and safety of life for the population of Kyiv.
Development of a scientifically substantiated system for prioritizing objects for capital investment funding from the city budget.
The aim of the development is to ensure the objective selection of construction, reconstruction, and capital repair projects for the effective utilization and optimization of the expenditure portion of the local budget for capital investments.
The implementation of the prioritization algorithm for funding capital expenditures on construction, reconstruction, and capital repair projects will allow:
– Promptly form pools of projects for capital investment funding on construction, reconstruction, and capital repair projects.
– Determine the volumes of capital expenditures on construction, reconstruction, and capital repair projects for inclusion in the Program of Socio-Economic Development of Kyiv based on principles of efficiency and transparency.
– Ensure the stability of the system for calculating the volumes of capital expenditures on construction, reconstruction, and capital repair projects.
